On a late Saturday morning in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the life of 23-year-old Tramaine Phillips Sr., an African American male, was tragically cut short. On June 11, 2022, at approximately 9:40 a.m., Phillips was standing outside the Gus Young Grocery at 4412 Gus Young Avenue when gunfire erupted.
