Augustine Greenwood, an 80-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on May 31, 2022, in New Orleans, LA. She was attending her grandson's high school graduation ceremony at Xavier University when a dispute between two females escalated into a shooting. Augustine was fatally shot by a stray bullet as she was leaving the ceremony with her family. She was a beloved mother of six and grandmother of 15, known for her love of gardening and her strong presence in her community.
