In the quiet Abita Nursery neighborhood, located between Covington and Abita Springs, Louisiana, the life of 25-year-old Kawon Moore was cut short on May 2, 2022. On that spring afternoon, deputies from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's office responded to reports of gunshots in the vicinity of Pansy and Progress streets. Upon their arrival, they discovered Moore inside a vehicle, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
