In the early hours of a spring day in Gibson, Louisiana, the life of Daniel Nelson Brothers, a 42-year-old African American man, was tragically cut short. On April 7, 2022, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Brothers was shot multiple times in the 5500 block of North Bayou Black Drive. He was immediately transported to a hospital outside the area for treatment but succumbed to his injuries two days later, on April 9, 2022.
