In a tragic incident on March 21, 2022, 24-year-old Nehemiah Malik 'Miah' Jones was found deceased in a New Orleans apartment, the victim of a triple homicide. Third District officers, responding to a call that was initially reported as an aggravated battery by shooting, discovered Jones alongside two other individuals inside the residence located in the 4100 block of Encampment Street. All three had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.
