Carsen Riley, a 5-year-old boy from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on December 10, 2021. He was a victim of a drive-by shooting that occurred near the LSU campus. Carsen, along with his 22-year-old uncle Michael Riley, was sitting in the back seat of a Honda Accord when gunfire erupted. The shots were fired from a passing vehicle, striking both Carsen and Michael. While Michael succumbed to his injuries at the scene, Carsen was rushed to a local hospital where he later died.
