In the city of New Orleans, on the evening of October 20, 2021, Lawrence 'Tootie' Wells, a 38-year-old man, was tragically killed. His life was cut short by an act of gun violence in the St. Claude neighborhood.
Reports from that night indicated two separate fatal shootings occurred within a short period. One of these incidents took place in the 4100 block of St. Claude Avenue, where Wells was the victim. He was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
