Javoris Debouse, a 23-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the afternoon of August 12, 2021, in Shreveport, Louisiana. The incident, which also left two other individuals wounded, occurred just before 2:30 p.m. in the Cedar Grove neighborhood, specifically in the 600 block of West 64th Street. Emergency services responded to reports of a shooting and transported Debouse and the other victims to Ochsner LSU Health Hospital, where Debouse ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
