In the early summer of 2021, a celebration in Eunice, Louisiana, turned into a scene of tragedy, forever altering the lives of a local family. Donavon Reed, a 31-year-old man, was attending a graduation party on June 6th when gunfire erupted, cutting his life short. A father of six, Reed was struck by a single bullet to the torso and later died at Acadian Medical Center.
