On a Thursday morning in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the life of Jeremy Jermaine 'Billy' McQuarter, Jr., an African American male, was tragically cut short. On January 21, 2021, the 25-year-old was found with a fatal gunshot wound in the front yard of a residence on Ozark Street, near Delaware Street. First responders were called to the scene around 10 a.m., but it was too late; McQuarter was pronounced dead upon their arrival.
