In the winter of 2020, the life of Jyerius Williams, a 30-year-old African American male, was violently cut short in Marrero, Louisiana. On December 27th, law enforcement responded to a call at a residence on Sayers Drive. Inside, they discovered Williams unresponsive, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene, turning a quiet residential street into the center of a homicide investigation.
