On the evening of November 16, 2020, in Gray, Louisiana, 58-year-old Janice Gardener, a Black female, was tragically killed in a violent home invasion. Responding to a report of a shooting at a residence on Linda Ann Avenue, deputies from the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office arrived to a grim scene. Inside the home, they discovered Janice Gardener, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
