Jamal KyMontay Robinson-Joseph, an 8-year-old African American boy from New Iberia, Louisiana, tragically passed away on February 14, 2020. He was a second-grade student at Caneview Elementary School in New Iberia. Jamal's death was the result of a drive-by shooting that occurred in Iberia Parish. The incident took place on February 11, 2020, and Jamal succumbed to his injuries three days later at Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
