On June 14, 2019, Donovan Citizen, a 28-year-old male from Lake Charles, Louisiana, was found dead inside a vehicle on 5th Street. The Lake Charles Police Department responded to a car crash in the 1900 block of 5th Street at 11:44 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Donovan Citizen and 16-year-old Zachary Reed, both of Lake Charles, deceased from gunshot wounds inside the vehicle.
