Tomika Alexander, a 43-year-old African American woman, was found dead on February 6, 2019, at the Pier Landing Apartments in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Shreveport Police Department responded to a call at approximately 11:30 p.m. and discovered Tomika Alexander with gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Alongside her, 19-year-old Cortez Williams was found with serious injuries and was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he later died.
