On Christmas Day in 2018, Leon Bush, a 48-year-old male, was fatally shot in the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans. The incident occurred around 5:19 p.m. at the intersection of General Meyer Avenue and Casimier Street. Bush, who was visiting New Orleans for the holidays from Violet, Louisiana, was a husband, a father to three daughters, and a grandfather.
