In the early evening of December 14, 2018, in Shreveport, Louisiana, a dispute between occupants of two vehicles escalated with deadly consequences. Tevin Washington, a 24-year-old African American male, was driving in the 900 block of Babylon Street in the Cedar Grove neighborhood just before 6:00 p.m. when an altercation broke out. During the confrontation, an individual in the other vehicle produced a firearm and shot Washington in the head.
