On the night of July 4, 2018, in Carencro, Louisiana, 18-year-old Benorian Leonard, an African American male, was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 11:47 p.m. in the 100 block of Lindsey Circle. When Lafayette Parish Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene, they found Leonard, who was pronounced dead.
