Toussaint Johnston Jr., a 28-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 27, 2018, in New Iberia, Louisiana. His death marked the ninth homicide in Iberia Parish that year and the eighth within the city of New Iberia. The circumstances surrounding his death were particularly harrowing, as he was shot and left to die in the street. Despite the passage of time, law enforcement has yet to identify any suspects in connection with his murder.
