Nhirobi Hakeem Dewey, a 21-year-old African American man from Morgan City, Louisiana, was fatally shot on the morning of March 2, 2018. The incident, which occurred around 9:24 a.m. in the area of Maine Street, was the result of a narcotics transaction that escalated into an attempted robbery.
