A young man by the name of Jyren Thomas, at the age of 23, was fatally shot in New Orleans on the evening of Monday, January 8, 2018. The incident occurred in the 6300 block of Woodland Highway, where officers responded to a call of shots fired. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Thomas in the driveway of an apartment complex, lying near a fence with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
