Keric D. Whitfield, a 43-year-old African American male, was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound on May 6, 2017, in Rayville, Louisiana. The incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. on Linda Street, directly behind Ruth Street, where shots had been fired into a residence earlier that night. Responding deputies discovered Whitfield lying on the ground, having succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
