In the early morning hours of March 17, 2017, the life of Verrick Bills, a 37-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in New Orleans. Emergency responders were called to the 3400 block of Kabel Drive in the Algiers neighborhood around 5:37 a.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Bills unresponsive, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his chest.
