On New Year's Day in 2017, a grim discovery was made in a residence on Ross Road in Anacoco, Louisiana, marking a violent start to the new year. Inside the home, deputies from the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office found the bodies of 48-year-old Norma Sue Ross and 30-year-old Calvin Stubbs of Leesville. Both individuals had been fatally shot.
