In the late summer of 2016, the community of Bastrop, Louisiana, was rocked by the tragic death of 15-year-old Raymerio Lee, an African American male. The distressing chain of events began on August 17, 2016, when Lee was reported missing. A day later, a grim discovery was made in a wooded area situated at the end of Shady Oaks Street in West Bastrop. An unidentifiable body had been found, and it was through an autopsy that the remains were confirmed to be those of the missing teenager.
