In the early hours of a Sunday morning in 2016, the vibrant city of New Orleans was once again the scene of a tragedy that cut short the lives of two brothers. Ryan Rudy Johnson, a 24-year-old man, and his older brother, Joshua Johnson, were found inside a vehicle at the intersection of Pauger and North Miro streets. Both had been shot multiple times and were pronounced dead at the scene. The sudden and violent end to their lives sent ripples of grief through their family and the community.
