Myeisha McDaniels, a 22-year-old female and a graduate of Dillard University, became the first homicide victim in New Orleans in 2016. On the evening of January 2nd, at approximately 9:00 p.m., she was sitting in her Nissan Altima in the 3700 block of Clio Street when she was tragically shot. Following the shooting, McDaniels was privately transported to Tulane Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
