In the winter of 2014, the life of Roderick E. Carolina, a 34-year-old man with a passion for the culinary arts, was tragically cut short in his native Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On Friday, December 12, 2014, Carolina was killed in a fatal shooting that stemmed from an armed robbery at an apartment. A 1999 graduate of McKinley High School, he was known for his love of cooking and his dream of one day opening his own restaurant.
