In the late hours of a warm Saturday in New Orleans, the vibrant sounds of the city were tragically pierced by the final moments of Shaffee Donell Dawson's life. On September 6, 2014, the 31-year-old Black/African American man was found lifeless in the 2900 block of Dryades Street in the Central City neighborhood.
