In the summer of 2014, the life of 38-year-old Carlos Jenkins, a Black/African American man working as a cab driver in Shreveport, Louisiana, was tragically cut short. On July 5th, Jenkins was killed by gun violence, leaving behind a community to mourn his sudden and violent death.
