An 84-year-old man, Wilbert Ray LaFleur, a lifelong resident of Mamou, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022. His passing was not the result of a violent crime, and therefore no arrests were made. He was a retired custodian from Mamou High School and had also served his community as a Deputy with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Department for many years.
