In the early morning hours of Sunday, January 19, 2014, tragedy struck in the 900 block of Emma Street in Opelousas, Louisiana, when 28-year-old Jermaine Andrus was found shot in the street. He was rushed to the Opelousas General Health System, but succumbed to his injuries and entered eternal rest.
