In the summer of 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana, a 33-year-old African American man named Darrell Payton lost his life to gun violence. His death occurred on or around July 13th to July 16th of that year.
Darrell was the son of the late Howard Sr. and Audrey Payton and a brother to Shanell Payton and Howard Payton Jr. His family and friends were left to mourn his sudden and violent passing. Funeral services were held, and he was laid to rest at Holt Cemetery in New Orleans.
