In the quiet community of Charenton, Louisiana, a Saturday morning in January 2013 was shattered by a spree of violence that resulted in the death of 52-year-old Frederick Albert Riggenbach, a sergeant with the Chitimacha Tribal Police Department. On January 26th, reports of a mobile home fire and a man armed with a shotgun on Flatown Road prompted a response from law enforcement. Sergeant Riggenbach was the first to arrive at the scene, which was located near the Cypress Bayou Casino.
