On the evening of April 6, 2022, in the St. Roch neighborhood of New Orleans, a 29-year-old African American man named Shaquille Michael Cooper was shot. The New Orleans Police Department received a call about the shooting in the 1800 block of Music Street at approximately 8:36 p.m. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and transported Cooper to a local hospital for treatment.
