In the late summer of 2005, a dedicated 31-year-old male Baton Rouge Police Detective named Terry Lee Melancon Jr. was involved in a narcotics investigation that would tragically end his life. On August 10th, Detective Melancon, along with two other officers, arrived at the home of a suspected drug dealer to execute a search warrant.
