On a Sunday night in October 1998, the vibrant city of New Orleans was robbed of one of its musical treasures. Raymond Myles, a 41-year-old Black male and a celebrated gospel singer, was found shot to death on a street corner. His body, bleeding and unresponsive, was discovered by police who could do nothing more than pronounce him dead at the scene from at least two gunshot wounds.
