Michael Todd Bowes, a 46-year-old white male from Henderson, North Carolina, was found dead on January 7, 2018. His body was discovered inside his car on a private farm path on Washout Road. Michael had been reported missing on December 21, 2017, after he left his home to retrieve his stolen cell phone. He was shot twice, once in the shoulder and once in the neck. The motive for the killing was determined to be robbery.
