Monterrio De'Ante Carter, a 26-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 28, 2017, in Durham, North Carolina. Monterrio, affectionately known as "Moonke," was born on February 26, 1991. On that fateful day, Monterrio was shot multiple times in the 500 block of Liberty Street. Responding officers found him at the scene, where he was pronounced dead.
