Donald Preston Chavis, a 23-year-old male from Pembroke, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on January 19, 2017. He was found dead in his car on Tucker Road near Pembroke, having been shot in the head during a robbery. The Robeson County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident around 10:30 p.m. and discovered Chavis deceased at the scene.
