Ericka Danielle Marie Weems, a 37-year-old Black woman from Akron, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed on November 2, 2020, inside her West Akron home on Hardesty Boulevard. Ericka was known for her vibrant personality and dedication to her community, having founded the Young Black Professionals Coalition and running a daycare out of her home.
