On the evening of August 15, 2020, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Toledo police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1000 block of Steeplebush Drive in South Toledo. Upon arrival, officers discovered 17-year-old Jacobie Wilson, an African American male, lying on the ground amidst a large crowd. He was unconscious and exhibited no pulse. Emergency services transported him to ProMedica Toledo Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
