On August 9, 2020, Damarcus Payton, a 27-year-old man from Cincinnati, OH, was fatally shot near the University of Cincinnati. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning near W. McMillan Street and Moerlein Avenue, in front of the Waffle House. Along with Payton, two other individuals were injured in the shooting, but they survived and were transported to UC Medical Center.
