Hussein Osman Abdi, a 16-year-old Black male, tragically lost his life on April 23, 2020, in Columbus, Ohio. He was found lying in a hallway inside an apartment building at the Wedgewood Apartments complex on Wedgewood Drive when police responded to an anonymous call about gunshots around 8:30 p.m. Despite immediate medical attention, Franklin Township medics pronounced him dead at 8:48 p.m. His death marked the 32nd homicide in Columbus for the year 2020.
