On December 26, 2016, 19-year-old Mohamud Khalif Mohamed, a Black male, was fatally shot at his residence on Caldwell Place in Columbus, Ohio. Columbus Police Officers and medics were dispatched to the scene at approximately 12:12 p.m. upon receiving a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Mohamed inside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
