On the evening of Monday, May 23, 2022, a gathering on a front porch in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood turned into a scene of violence that claimed the life of 37-year-old Anton Ellis. A Black male, Ellis was on the 100 block of West Logan Street when an argument is believed to have escalated into a fatal shooting. The incident unfolded around 9:11 p.m. in front of more than 20 witnesses who were also on the porch and steps of the residence.
