In the afternoon hours of March 27, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a neighborhood in York, Pennsylvania. When the sounds of the shots faded, 16-year-old Tyree Oliver Smart, a male, was left lying on the pavement in the 300 block of West Newton Avenue. Arriving police officers found the teenager with apparent gunshot wounds and immediately began to render aid. Despite their efforts, Tyree succumbed to his injuries.
