In the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, on the afternoon of February 8, 2021, a grim discovery was made inside a residence on the 2900 block of Rosehill Street. Responding to a call, Philadelphia police officers entered the home to find a scene of violence that had claimed the lives of two men. One of the victims was identified as Maurice D. Harper, a 42-year-old Black male. He was found in a bedroom, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his chest.
