On October 4, 2020, 15-year-old Omar Richard Wade, a Black male, tragically lost his life in a double shooting incident in Philadelphia, PA. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. near the 2100 block of Jackson Street in the Girard Park section of South Philadelphia. Omar was shot in the head and left thigh and was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. An 18-year-old man was also injured in the shooting and was listed in critical condition.
