Daniel A. Carpenter, a 42-year-old Black / African American male from Pittsburgh, was caught in the middle of violence on the afternoon of March 17, 2019, in the city’s Larimer neighborhood. Police were called to the area of Shetland Street and Victor Way after reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Carpenter inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.
